Privacy Policy – app

Last updated: March 18, 2026

This application (hereinafter referred to as the „App“) is used to control a radar detector via Bluetooth wireless connection and to play audio announcements (e.g. through the car speaker). The App is operated by RADAGO s.r.o., registered office at Ocelářská 891/16, 190 00 Prague 9, Czech Republic, Company ID: 14284731, VAT ID: CZ14284731, contact email: info@radago.cz (hereinafter referred to as „we“ or the „Operator“).

We take your privacy seriously. The App does not need and does not track your location. The location permission is required solely by the Android operating system as a technical prerequisite for scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices — without this permission, the App cannot discover and connect to the detector. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, why it collects it, how we handle it, and what your rights are.

1. What Data We Collect

a) Location Permission

The App requests location permission only because the Android operating system requires this permission in order to scan for and connect to nearby Bluetooth devices. This is a technical requirement of the Android system, not location tracking. Location data from your phone’s GPS is not stored on any server by the App and is not shared with any third party.

b) Anonymous Detector Operational Data

The App may receive operational data directly from the radar detector (not from your phone’s GPS). This data may include technical information about the detector’s activity and is processed exclusively in anonymized form — it is not linked to any user or device identifier. It is used to improve service quality and detection accuracy.

c) Crash Data

To improve the stability and quality of the App, we may collect automatically generated crash and error reports. These reports may contain:

  • device type and model,
  • operating system version,
  • App version,
  • time of the error,
  • technical error log (stack trace).

This data does not contain any personally identifiable information and is used solely for diagnosing and fixing errors. Crash reports are processed by the Firebase Crashlytics service operated by Google.

d) Push Notifications

The App uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) by Google to send push notifications. Notifications inform you about new firmware availability for the detector and other important updates. To deliver notifications, an anonymous device token (Firebase registration token) is stored on the server, which is not linked to your identity or any other data.

e) Data We Do Not Collect

The App does not collect or process:

  • name, email address, or other contact information,
  • financial or payment information,
  • message content, photos, or files,
  • device identifiers for advertising purposes,
  • browsing or search history.

2. Purpose of Data Processing

We process data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Location permission — a technical requirement of the Android system for scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices; the App does not track your location.
  • Anonymous detector operational data — improving service quality and detection accuracy.
  • Crash data — identifying and fixing technical errors, improving App stability.
  • Push notifications — informing users about new firmware and important updates.

3. Permissions

The App requires the following permissions:

  • Bluetooth — for communication with the radar detector.
  • Location — the Android operating system requires this permission as a technical prerequisite for scanning for and connecting to nearby Bluetooth devices. The App does not track or store your location.
  • Audio — for playing detector audio announcements (e.g. through the car speaker).
  • Notifications — for sending alerts about new firmware and other important information.
  • Internet — for sending anonymous operational data, crash reports, and receiving push notifications.

4. Sharing Data with Third Parties

We do not share, sell, or provide your data to any third parties, except for:

  • Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — processes anonymized crash reports for the purpose of error diagnostics. More information: firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google) — provides push notification delivery. Only an anonymous device token is stored on Google’s servers.
  • Legal obligations — we may disclose data if required by applicable law or a decision of a competent authority.

5. Data Retention and Security

Location data from your phone’s GPS is not stored — it is processed only in real time during the session with the radar detector. Anonymous detector operational data is retained on our server for the period necessary to improve service quality. Crash data is retained for a maximum of 90 days. The push notification token is stored for as long as you have the App installed.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the data processed to ensure data security.

6. Your Rights

In accordance with applicable legislation (in particular the GDPR), you have the right to:

  • request information about what data we process about you,
  • request correction or deletion of your personal data,
  • object to data processing,
  • request restriction of processing,
  • request data portability,
  • withdraw your consent to processing (if processing is based on consent),
  • file a complaint with a supervisory authority (the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection, www.uoou.cz).

To exercise these rights, please contact us at: info@radago.cz.

7. Data Deletion

Since the App does not store personal data on a server, there is no need to request deletion of location data — this data is not retained. If you wish to delete crash data associated with your device, please contact us at the email address above and we will comply with your request without undue delay.

Uninstalling the App from your device will remove all locally stored App data.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it without undue delay.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through an App update or a notification within the App. We recommend reviewing this policy periodically. By continuing to use the App after changes are made, you agree to the updated policy.
